This is a sponsored review from BlogHer and OLAY.
Once upon a time I was young and well rested and didn't worry much about makeup. But three kids, 12 years, and countless sleepless night later I pay a little more attention to what I am putting on my face to hide those sleepless nights.
Here are a few firm rules that I believe help put my best face forward.
1) Water, water, water. Hydrated skin is pretty skin.
2) A facial lotion with sunscreen is my best friend. (I have used Olay Complete with SPF forever!)
3) When all else fails, conceal.
For the last week I have a new tool in the fight against dark circles, the Olay Total Effects Line and Dark Circle Minimizing Brush.
So what are the 7 beautiful benefits? It reduces the look of dark circles, fine lines, puffiness, uneven texture, uneven tone, dryness, and firms the area under your eyes. And what does that all equate to for me? This weekend I lost an hour of sleep to daylight saving time, another hour to staying up late to visit with company, and two more hours to a little girl that woke up sick. But I got up in Sunday morning and got ready for church and didn't feel like that all showed on my face. So to me that is benefit number 8.
This handy little tube of makeup has a brush applicator that I love. It is easy to apply, no dabbing and smudging like with regular concealers. It is almost like painting it on. Smooth, quick and easy. It is a great addition to my typical makeup routine. Anything that works better and is easier to use wins in my book. Because when you need it the most, you are usually to tired to hassle with it all!
So how to you simplify your beauty routine when you are busy or tired or both? Share your ideas with me in a comment below and you will be entered to win a $100 Spa Finder Gift Card from BlogHer.

ReplyDeleteAs I'm approaching 36 this year, anti-aging mixed with a make up routine in the morning sounds perfect. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great giveaway.

When I'm tired or busy, I like to make sure that I have products that do double duty--like foundation with SPF protection or concealer that not only works to hide my flaws but also works to diminish them over time.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance!
I could really use this!
ReplyDeletejencole25@hotmail.com
I agree with Hydration. I remember my mom using Olay when I was a little girl, the pink bottle. We both use it today!
ReplyDeleteI would die to try this. I have been dark eyed all my life (genetic), so any tools would help!
ReplyDeleteI've battled dark circles all my life too, so I tend to need a concealer that is a bit orange-er than regular cover-up, but I would love to switch it out for this magic! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteooo, I really need this. Im getting married soon and look ...old-er than I should!
ReplyDeleteConcealer is my best friend! Thanks for the awesome giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI want one! Sounds great! :)
ReplyDeletewhen i am in a hurry, i can get away with just some powder and mascara - most important!
ReplyDeleteI would love this!!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to try this!
ReplyDeleteWow, do I ever need this! thanks for the great give away.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I need to try this! My little boy has never slept much and my baby has been sick the last few weeks, so I've been one tired Mama!
ReplyDeleteHmm...to simplify...this may sound lame but I have a few hairdos that I can do in a pinch when I don't have time to wash, dry, style--hairdo's that still look really nice and even kinda fancy.
ReplyDeleteI think I could be the spokesperson for this product. I walk around tired with dark circles allll the time!
ReplyDeleteI am in dire need of this product!
ReplyDeleteI've recently learned to toss products I don't regularly use. I apply foundation lightly as if to create a clear canvass then I just dab eyeliner, blush and lipbalm. Natural look, quick and simple!
ReplyDeleteWhen in a rush: moisturizer, light powder to even out tone, and a little eye liner. Quick and simple.
ReplyDeleteI have been looking for a solution to my dark eye circles forever! This looks perfect!
ReplyDeleteThis looks amazing and boy do I need it...agreed 3 kids will give you some dark circles! :)

The women in my family have always sworn by Olay products. I've been told that I look younger than my age of 42. Good products are key. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteInstead of doing the entire eye makeup routine for busy mornings, I just go with a sweep of neutral eyeshadow, fill in my brows with dark shadow and add mascara. I look awake and ready to go with a fraction of the typical time lost.
ReplyDeletesounds like an awesome giveaway to me! My skin could use all the help it can get!
ReplyDeleteI have dark circles that are caused by my allergies. I was told once they are "allergy shiners" I wonder how well it will work on those. Normal stuff doesn't work at all!
ReplyDeleteMascara, mascara, mascara - it just wakes up my face. As a kindergarten teacher I don't wear much make up as it runs or gets wiped off at some point during the day, but just a quick dab of mascara brightens my face for the whole day.

I have been wondering about this product after seeing ads. Thanks for the review.
ReplyDeletethis sounds like the perfect product to simplify my routine.. i love easy application! thanks for the great review and give away! :)
ReplyDeleteI remember when my mom got the cutest little trial size sample of "oil of olay" in the mail in the early 70's. She wore it religiously for the rest of her life, and we are all fans, but I LOVE this concealer idea!
ReplyDeleteI keep my "face suds" in my shower so I don't FORGET. I try my hardest eat lots of veggies, and I <3 water, so hydration isn't hard at all!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to try this product.
ReplyDeleteI have always used SPF and lotion. I don't use makeup that often and have an easy haircut so I have a pretty simple routine!
ReplyDeleteI would love to try this
ReplyDeleteI have curly hair, and I just let it air dry.
ReplyDeleteIf I'm REALLY busy, and I know I'm not going anywhere, I just do mineral powder, mascara and lip gloss. I still do my hair. But my normal routine only takes about 20 minutes for both anyway, so I don't usually skip anything.
ReplyDeleteWhen I'm rushed and/or tired, I always skip all makeup but the mascara. My eyelashes are blonde, so just adding some mascara helps to define and open 'em up!
ReplyDeleteI have definitely simplified my beauty routine since having kids! The key is to fix my hair and do my makeup when my kids are hungry & whining - That way I don't have luxury of making it complicated. ;)
ReplyDeleteI use a face makeup with sunscreen so it looks great and keeps your skin soft!

I decide what is most important when I'm rushed. For me, it's mascara and blush-no eye liner or shadow, no lip gloss- just what allows me to wear something but still be casual. This looks like a fantastic product!
ReplyDeletei'd love to try this product -
ReplyDeletewhen i'm rushed i just put on a little concealer and foundation and let the rest go!

ReplyDeletekarinaroselee at gmail dot com
I find that either using mascara or actually doing my hair are two things that always work for me when I don't have the time or energy for anything else.
ReplyDeleteI have found a moisturizer/foundation that I love that sometimes I have to cut down to just that at least knowing that my skin is being taken care of and looks good. When products have more that one benefit in them, I'm in. Simplify is how most of us have to go. Unless it's a planned date night I need quick and easy. I love the sound of this product and it seems like it can't hurt to try.
ReplyDeleteOh that concealer brush looks amazing!! When I'm super busy, I mix a little foundation with my moisturizer in an attempt to get ready faster :)

I am always looking for something new that is quick and easy. I have a five minute makeup routine and living where I do, moisturizing and hydrating are necessities.
ReplyDeleteThat concealer brush looks great.

ReplyDeleteI simplify my beauty routine when I'm pressed for time by washing my face and just using powder instead of full makeup. LPoser1 [AT] gmail [DOT] com
ReplyDeleteI've simplified my makeup routine by switching to mineral makeup & mascara. It literally takes me 5 minutes in the morning to get ready, and with a 4 month old in tow, that's perfect! Plus, I love how light it feels on my face. I also shower at night & dry my hair then (the longest thing for me in my beauty routine), so I can just brush, straighten, or pull back & go in the morning, depending on how I'm feeling. I'm a lot less picky about what I look like these days, which is an awesome feeling. :)

I simplify (and save money) by using moisturizer with SPF and mascara everyday. I just wear foundation and eye shadow on days I want to look extra nice.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win a concealer tool though, especially since with a newborn I'm averaging five-six hours a night, sometimes without a nap. (She likes to line up her sleeping times for when my toddler is awake and be awake when he's sleeping.)

I shorten my beauty routine by brushing my teeth in the shower! :-) I also LOVE using tinted moisturizer in the summer with a little water proof mascara; this way I am up for a swim anytime I am asked to hang by the pool. :-)
ReplyDeleteI am a brand new mommy and I have a 10 year old little baseball professional! I am always awake and on the go! I need some pampering for my body these days because it's everything from a coat rack, to a cup holder, to a baby swing, to an all night buffet! Please, please, please PICK me :-)
Oh so excited to try this! I already use Olay Total Effects, Regenerist, and UV Lotion! With a 4 months old son who likes to get up 3 times a night, I'm rocking some pretty stellar dark circles these days... and no amount of coffee helps with that! Can't wait to check it out :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm a Regenerist girl- serum and UV lotion. Oh if only I hadn't spent all of those HOURS out in the beautiful Arizona sunshine as an undergrad!
ReplyDeleteI've tried everything and nothing has worked for me. Can't wait to give this a try!!!
ReplyDeletepinklilbabytoes@aol.com
I simplify my routine sometimes by not putting foundation on, and only putting eye-shadow, mascara, and blush on. I can usually get by with these three things.
ReplyDeleteI use a tinted moisturizer with sunscreen during the day to condense three steps into one!
ReplyDeleteI have naturally wavy hair so I skip washing it daily and on those mornings I brush my hair the opposite way against my normal part and then back again for instant volume!
ReplyDeletei will just watch my face with soap
ReplyDeleteWhen I'm running low on time, I narrow my makeup to just mascara & blush. And I ALWAYS use a good moisturizer!
ReplyDeleteI use a spritz of perfume and conditioner on my hair, if I’m too tired to wash my hair, and use mascara and moisturizer and I’m out the door.
ReplyDeleteDark circles run in my family, so I'll have to give this product a try! To simplify my routine, I try to stick with as few products as possible that have the maximum effect. Less steps = less time!
ReplyDeleteWhen I am tired, I only use soap and water.
ReplyDeleterhoneygtn at yahoo dot com

ReplyDeleteI don't wear makeup on a daily basis.
ReplyDeleteslb3334@gmail.com
I go minimalist, a little concealer, mascara and tinted lip gloss.
ReplyDeletei don't have much a routine - just keep it simple and natural ;-) When I really tired a baseball cap keeps thing REAL simple!
ReplyDeleteWhen I am tired at the beginning of the day and know that I will not be leaving the house nor see anyone but the hubby, I have a face rest day. I cleanse my face and apply a pack then follow with a good moisturizer. I drink water all day and the next day, my skin just glows.
ReplyDeleteTwo words - dry shampoo! It's a great way to get a second day out of your hair without washing and blow drying!

I have the core stuff I need to get ready on my counter so I can rush through the hair lotion, dryer then moisturize face and basic makeup. I can do this quickly then when I have more time I do more.
ReplyDeleteI can't live without moisturizer and that dark circles brush looks like something I could see myself buying in the near future.
ReplyDeletecherryandnicole@gmail.com
I don't wear much/any makeup, so I'm all about the bare minimum of effort! Not much to simplify - it's already simple.

Foundation, blush, eye shadow and mascara or I look half dead! Too pale and white eye lashes that disapear without mascara. Lots of water to keep hydrated, a little eye cream and I'm good to go.
ReplyDeleteI can't to try this, I just recently purchased the Olay face scrubber brush thing, and I LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteMy routine is pretty simple because I'm always in a hurry. A little foundation and lipstick and I'm done!
ReplyDeleteI use a foundation with moisturizer in it, kill 2 birds with one stone!
ReplyDeletehydration makes all the difference!
ReplyDeleteI'm always tired. And I've never gotten the hang of make-up. So when I get up in the evening and get ready for my night shift, I wash with Noxzema, to wake up and tighten my skin a bit, then moisturize with Clinique, and I'm good to go. Sometimes a bit of lip gloss, or a bit of sparkle spray in my hair [what? I'm working nights. I'm allowed to have fun!] but usually just wash and go.
ReplyDeleteThis might be really handy for me on those rare occasions when I dress up and do make-up! I'll have to look into it further.
